December 2025
On the 4th, I had an appointment with my cardiologist.
On the 19th, I had an appointment with my regular doctor. I have to see every 4 months because I take Xanax... I guess it’s a new law or something, and I just found out about it two weeks ago. Shit, the doctor seemed like he was half asleep... he has to drive all the way to Moreno Valley, 78 miles, and back.
I sent out all my Christmas cards... it took me a large bit of time to get them all addressed, notes written on each, signed, and stamped. I don’t mind one iota doing this for my old friends; my Christmas list gradually grows smaller with each passing year.
I bought Riley a piano keyboard as his mom had requested for Christmas. I also gave Shanna $75 to use for herself and the other two boys. I also gave her and Marcus $20 each in their BD cards I sent them.
Big storm coming in right now!
Might be stuck here for a few days if the roads are washed out. The first storm of the season, which came through a month ago, washed out the roads for a few days.
November 2025

Sunday 02- I jogged a mile.
Monday 03- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, worked out with weights, and punched the heavybag. Kelly set the trap, caught the kitten, and now has it in her home, safe and sound.
Tuesday 04- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, worked out with weights, and punched the heavybag.
October 2025
Wednesday 01- I did my stretches. Audrey called, and we yammered on for over an hour and a half. Worked on my short story ‘Yesterday’s Rainbow’ and got it to the point that I could complete it as is.
Thursday 02- I did my stretches. Worked on my short story a little bit. Doing a lot of thinking to see what odd things I could come up with.
I also came up with a new song. I gotta work on the words, I got the rhythm down pretty much.
Friday 03- Nice and cooler today with a bit of wind. I jogged a mile and did all my stretches and weights. I added a whole lot to my short story, switched a few things around, and found some errors.
Saturday 04-
Sunday 05- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights and heavybag.
Monday 06- Had an appointment to see my cardiologist at 4:30. I left at 10:30, which is early for me, to get several things done.
Tuesday 07- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights and heavybag.
Wednesday 08- I did my stretches. Cassie and I went on a long walk.
Thursday 09- I did my stretches and jogged a mile. There was rain, but not much, during the early morning and then again late at night.

Monday 27- Kelly is getting her trailer delivered to her Own property. Unfortunately, the driver got lost. He didn’t follow our directions and ended up stuck on a dirt road 10 miles out by the Marine Base. We found them and guided them to Kelly’s property, and set it down in the middle of the lot.
Friday 31- jogged a mile.
Hi Linda,
I've been feeling kinda down lately and haven't been paying attention to my messages. Besides that, I'm doing okay.
Saw my cardiologist, who told me my CT scan came back clean, and to see him in 6 months. My cholesterol is really high, even though I have tried to keep a good diet. He told me to eat fish, fruits, and vegetables...To stay away from meat except for the fish and turkey breasts. Dang, I forgot to ask him about eggs and bread...
Kelly is getting a large trailer put on her property and will be moving there and out of my hair, hopefully by next weekend; this is really good news!!!
I hope you and Blu are doing well π€
I'll get back to you on when I can go over to Seimi's for the firewood. How is Seimi doing lately?
Let me know how you're doing. I promise to try and be more attentive to my telecommunications.
Graduating college was one of the hardest things I’ve done. The second hardest was letting go of a girl who I gave all my love to and then she went away except for in my dreams she appears every now and then.
I was working at Mattels at the time when a young black coworker asked if I could drive him home that night after our shift was over. He was giving directions as I drove. I didn’t know he lived near Watts in an all black neighborhood, but this wouldn’t have mattered anyways to me. I dropped him off and was headed down the street when black kids came out and started throwing rocks at me. I quickly got out of there.
Years later, I was asked by a young black student I knew well, on our college Association Student Board, if I could give him a ride home. I was the senator of business at the time, and I said yes. When we arrived, he asked me if I’d like to come in and meet his family. I said Sure. No one was home. He said, I got something to show you, but you have to promise not to tell. I said okay. He took me to his bedroom, slid open a closet door, and inside was a large cache of weapons and ammunition. “My friends and I have these ready if and when the revolution starts.”
I’m only telling this story for the first time 50 years later, after the fact.
whatever you want, that's what I need
Words of hate, words of spite, world leaders' lies forever forgotten.
Words of violence, words of glory; a young man marches off to war.
Words of plunder
Words of faith, we ever wonder what God...
Infinity in a teacup
I'd rather be wrong than stupid; at least I can correct my error and move on.
Magic Chef Supermarket - there was a Thrifty Drug next to it, where we got our ice cream cones; my favorite was Raspberry Wave. A barber shop was on the southside where I got my haircut when I was a wee child... The Del Amo mall was to the west, a short walk π€
September 2025
Monday 01- Labor Day
Tuesday 02- It rained all day long. I did my stretches.
Wednesday 03- I worked out with my weights.
Thursday 04- I went to pick up mail, shopped quickly at Staters, and got two kids' specials to go at Burger King.
Wednesday 05 to Thursday 11- same old shit, rain, heat, and humidity.
Friday 12- We went to Lapcorp to get our blood taken; Kelly had to have hers done, too. We then went to Aldis to do some shopping, and then on to Rocky’s and the JT post office to pick up my mail
Saturday 13- nice day. I jogged a mile and worked out with weights.
Sunday 14 through Wednesday 17- sick.
Thursday 18- we had a downpour that flooded the whole area. Lake Lucile was a two feet underwater.
Friday 19- Kelly and I went to JT to get my meds, then to Burger King, and to get our mail in Twentynine.
Saturday 20- the weather seems to be cooling down some, 89F today. I did my stretches, worked out with weights, and jogged a mile.
Sunday 21- Cassie wanted to go for a jog instead of a walk. We did a whole mile.
Monday 22- I worked out with weights.
Tuesday 23-
Wednesday 24- After 9/10, something came over me when I realized the Lord had been poking at me all my life, helping me out of really bad situations, which I thought was luck. I can count the number of times I've been to church on one hand. He came to me in a dream last night. I didn't see him, but felt him when he said, "Keep calm, don't be afraid, I stand with you." Then the dream continued, where a giant bully came up to me and started yelling. I was tempted to yell back, but I remember what the Lord said to me in my dream, and I let the bully yell all he wanted. I told him I have the Lord by my side, and then he walked away. I felt good about myself. I think I was being tested.
When fighting evil, don’t become evil yourself
Thursday 25- I went to have a CT scan at the High Desert Medical Center.
Friday 26- I did my stretches.
Saturday 27- I sent my poem ‘I want to live on the ocean’ to Rich Soos at Cholla Nettles to publish.
Sunday 28- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights. Rich got back to me and said, “May use it for an 'intro' in an issue. Will let you know.”
Monday 29- I did my stretches and took Cassie for her morning walk like I do practically every day. I was doing a Poop Patrol when Gobbie, Kelly’s dog, who was visiting, jumped over the fence to chase after a girl coyote he’s been in love with, and I believe she is too, by the way she cooed to get his attention. I had to go get him back. I believe Goobie just lost his virginity.
I got back to writing my fiction book about AI.
I broke two of my rules today... I took two hits of some good pot without visitors, and drank a lot of coffee past 6PM. BUT, I got a hell of a lot done. I spent hours mostly completed my short story on AI, and wrote a poem thingy and posted it on FaceBook.
Tuesday 30- I did my stretches.
I wish we could all try to get along peacefully in this world of ours. I bet there are places somewhere on this Earth of ours where life is uplifting and joyous. There are probably many places; most likely those places without internet and news media.
I have to continuously remind myself to limit my time on social media and YouTube so I can get back to my writing.
I'm a Californian, born in California, raised in California, but these days I feel separate from what California has become and those who force their crazy progressive ideology on us. I am embarrassed for our beautiful state and for losing what it once stood for. It's time for folks who've been silenced for so many years to speak out.

A very interesting subject, where life can exist: from the very bottom of our oceans living off fumes of smokers, to the frigid cold of Antarctica... even out there in space, those Tardigrades survive. It seems life wants to live about anywhere it can take root.
August 2025
Friday 01- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Kelly and I went to Twentynine Palms to pick up our mail, do our shopping at Staters, and have lunch at Burger King.
Saturday 02- A lot of smoke from a forest fire somewhere.
Sunday 03- Smoke
Monday 04- Smoke
Tuesday 05- Smoke
Wednesday 06- Yeah, it's really that hot.
Reminds me of when I almost had heatstroke many years ago, in July, when I was stuccoing my house. A friend dropped by for a visit. I must have been overheated because I told him I was looking for my hat and gloves that I've been wearing. His response was, "But you're wearing them!?"
Once I heard him say this to me, I told him I needed to rest, and he left. I then lay down and turned the hose on, soaking a beach towel with cold water I had draped over me.
Thursday 07-
Friday 08- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Saturday 09- I did my stretches and jogged a mile.
Sunday 10- excessive heat warning. It is best to stay inside when it gets this hot. Any temp over 106F, I work outside at night and get what needs to be done inside during the day.
Monday 11- excessive heat warning.
Tuesday 12- excessive heat warning. I went to Twentynine Palms to pick up mail, shopping at Staters, and lunch to go at Burger King.
Wednesday 13- excessive heat warning.
Thursday 14 to Sunday 17... much too hot to do much of anything.
Monday 18- I drove to Joshua Tree to pick up my heart meds.
I went to collect my mail and found that my mailbox at 874 Border Ave A9 was empty... someone, a thief, stole all the mail and any Birthday Cards that were sent to me. I have placed a hold on my mail and will pick up any future mail at the Joshua Tree post office until they fix this issue. Last year, the post office was broken into and all the keys were stolen.
Tuesday 19- Too fricken hot! I did my weight training.
Wednesday 20- Kelly came sick to my door. We called an ambulance to take her to High Desert Hospital. I picked her up five hours later once they got her stabilized.
Looks like the next week will be very humid and hot. When it gets like this, I really can’t do nothing much. I think my heart pills I take makes the heat worse.
Thursday 21-
Friday 22- I went to my doctor’s appointment in Yucca Valley.
I stopped by the post office in JT to pick up my mail. They found some of my mail and a couple of Birthday cards that were stolen. Some of them were open or tampered with.
On the way home, there was a downpour that made it almost impossible to get through because Winters Rd was flooded. It took me over an hour to find side streets that weren’t flooded, and I finally made it home. It was probably a good idea that I stopped at Home Depot before my doctor visit to pick up a bunch of pavers and bricks, which weighed down the backend of my little Spark, making it able to get better traction on the muddy roads.
Saturday 23- A whole lot of rain and the same for Sunday and Monday! I just stayed inside. The humidity was horrible.
Tuesday 26- mostly sunny, but the humidity was too much for me to do much of anything.
Wednesday 27- I went got gas, to the post office to get packages, and then on to Staters, ate at BK, and on to home to rest.
Thursday 28- I did my stretches.
Friday 29- I did my stretches.
Saturday 30- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights. A fire broke out over near Poleline and Coyote Canyon. I saw black smoke and flames just moments before it began. It seems it took the fire department over 20 minutes before they got there, and a bit longer before they even started putting water on it. The reason it took so long was they had closed down the firehouse on Lear Ave a couple of years ago, about the time the county started taxing us $152 for fire protection.
July 2025
Tuesday 01- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Wednesday 02- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Thursday 03- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Friday 04- Kelly was having problems with her solar and spent too much time outside in the heat trying to fix the dang thing. Later, I BBQed some hamburgers for me, Kelly, and the dogs. I got stoned and just sat outside watching the universe roll on by until late into the next day.
Also on the Fourth, I completed two straight weeks of doing my stretches, jogging a mile, and working out with the weights.
I did the same on Saturday, but I'm taking Sunday and maybe Monday off to rest my poor body and stay out of the heat.
Saturday 05- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Sunday 06- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Monday 07- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Tuesday 08- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Wednesday 09- I did my stretches and jogged a mile.
Kelly and I went to get our meds and do some shopping at Aldi’s in Yucca Valley.
Thursday 10- very hot 112F with clear skies.
The reason I just bought a cellular Apple Watch Series 7:
I'm 74 and live in the high desert of Joshua Tree, CA. I had a heart attack a year ago on my jog, but I was able to walk back home, with a week's stay in the hospital. So now with the watch, if something were to happen to me on my jog, I could call for help. I go on long jogs and walks through desert trails for a great part of my jog, and I needed a way to go without my bulky cell phone, and this was the answer.
I found out that my iPhone 8 doesn’t support the Apple Watch now.
Friday 11- Shanna and the boys
Saturday 12- Shanna and the boys
Sunday 13-
Monday 14- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
Tuesday 15-
Wednesday 16-
Thursday 17- I drove Kelly to Home Depot to pick up some woodstove pellets she uses for cat litter; it works very well. Then, onto WalMart to p/u her groceries she ordered online. We stopped at Jack-in-the-Box for lunch, and then onto Star Pharmacy, who still hasn’t gotten a refill order from my damn doctor.
Friday 18- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights.
We watched a SpaceX launch from Vandenberg from our front yard, and it was incredible to see it through binoculars with the Sun still lighting up the rocket, first stage, and then the two payload fairings as they fell back to Earth.
Saturday 19- I’m going to skip exercising and rest up and work around the house today.
Sunday 20- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights.
I decided that I'd better fill up the wading pool before the cold of fall begins.
I've been sitting outside at night with my dog Cassie, watching the skies and seeing a few large ones come whizzing through the atmosphere. There was this one that lit up the sky and cast shadows on the ground around me. I thought it might hit the ground; it got down so low. Fortunately, it didn't.
Monday 21- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights.
Tuesday 22- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights.
Wednesday 23- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights.
I drove to Star Pharmacy again to pick up my meds, stopped by Staters in Yucca Valley to get a few groceries, and then visited Harbor Freight and Home Depot to purchase some pavers. Finally, I went to Steak' n Shake to eat lunch.
Thursday 24- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with weights.

June 2025
Friday 20- hot! But it did cool off to the 60s during the night and was almost too cold to sit outside, like I've been doing on these hot nights.
Kelly and I went to the post office, shopping, and ate lunch at Burger King. We were totally burned out by the end of the day; I fell asleep early.
Saturday 21- lot cooler today in the 90s. I’m feeling much better today. Seems like I’ve had some kinda virus or something for the past few weeks. I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.
I worked around the house and garden. I also did a load of laundry.
Sunday 22- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights. Cassie can’t go on jogs with me anymore, so I take her on a walk after my mile jog.
I worked around the house and garden. I also did a load of laundry.
Monday 23- I did my stretches, jogged a mile, and worked out with the weights.

Lost in the wilderness of words... I write. To find oneself in a maze of troubles with others' deranged insanity.
She was a Scotish Lass, our love didn’t last and she left me all alone.
She wanted a stable mate, instead of my mental state, and she left me high and dry.
So give me another shot of gin, another taste of sin, and I’ll be on my way. I’ll disappear one night, under stars so bright, and you’ll never see me again.
I don’t know where I shall go, I don’t know where I will stay. All I own, is in my pack, along with the memories I carry.
Life’s been a long long road, faces of friends I see, down the path of death’s door, Will there be pearly gates, or hell’s
Scattered through the stormy winds and rain, I hear my darling’s voice call down to me like ripples of time falling from heaven, “Be brave, be humble, have faith, and persevere.” She has left for places unknown to me, her body cast to the sea; her fortunes were few, but she lived a life of wonder. I feel blessed to have loved, and willing to wander the world for a spell longer; I find it lovely, though I hear the earth cry.

Friday 09-
It's been so windy up here these last few days that I had to hunker down, and haven't done any running since last Monday; just been working out with the weights. I did get a lot of work done around the house. Construction of my garden is coming along nicely, and I even have a few things growing that didn't die....
Tuesday 20- I used to live on a sailboat for many years, and hardly had anything (mostly books) because of the small space on the boat. I can't believe I have accumulated so much junk since I left the ocean.
Right now, I'm in the garage sorting through all the boxes of junk and tossing away stuff I don't need anymore.
Wednesday 21- I drove to the post office in 29 to pick up a package, and then to Starters to get a few items.
Thursday 22- around 100 degrees with a slight breeze. I worked out with the weights.
Tuesday 27- 93/67F I jogged a mile. Fixed the front gate
I felt the Sun’s rays all over my body, even through my clothes. I wonder what particles of radiation were hitting me... but I was stoned, so that may explain a lot.
April 2025
Monday 07- I came out in the morning to work in my garden when I noticed my front passenger side tire was flat. The leak was in the wall of the tire, like someone punctured it with an ice pick; this is the second time this has happened in the last month!
Tuesday 08- WalMart to drop off tire, LabCorp, UPS, Aldis, Jack in the Box, Staters, and then to WalMart again to pick up the tire.
Wednesday 16- I took Cassie for a nice jog.
Thursday 17- Roger
Friday 18- we had light rain in the evening. Found out that my hummingbird is a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird
Saturday 19- at 11:40, I went out front to measure the seat size for the wicker chairs. As I was doing so, I noticed a large fire in an abandoned house nearby. I yelled to Kelly to dial 911 and report it.
Sunday 20—We drove over to the structure that caught fire last night. All that was left was the chimney; the whole place burned down to the cement slab.
Monday 21- Roger came by with a tomato plant for my garden. He wanted to see the cabin that burned all the way down to the slab last night, so we drove over in his truck.
Tuesday 22-
Wednesday 23- post office
Thursday 24-
Friday 25- shopped
March 2025
Saturday 01- I did my stretches and worked out with weights. Cassie and I went for two long walks.
Kelly is mad and not talking to me because she thinks I blamed her for putting an item in my Amazon cart. I asked her if she did it by accident because I let her use my account to watch videos and she has an account of her own. I was just trying to find out how the item, $75 shampoo, got there. Anyways, she is playing the victim card. I've had enough of her changing moods and I am trying to figure out how to get her off my property. Later, I found out that my Amazon account was hacked and I changed my password to Amazon. I am so pissed at her that I called a realtor to look into selling my house. I’m not sure I want to do that.
Sunday 02- A bit windy today. I was able to do all my exercises and took Cassie for a short walk to David’s to check on his property while he was away recovering from surgery, and before the winds began.
Monday 03- really windy today with sustained winds of over 30 mph.
Tuesday 04- I haven’t been feeling very well these past 30 days but felt good enough to drive alone for the first time to go to immediate care in Yucca Valley.
Now, Kelly decides to start talking again without bringing up her bad behavior.
Wednesday 05- drove to a doctor’s appointment set up by my visit yesterday. I think it was a waste of my time. Went to Labcorp but the place was jammed backed with wheezing coughing sick people.
Thursday 06- I did my stretches and worked out with weights.
Friday 07- I did my stretches and worked out with weights.
Saturday 08- I did my stretches.
Sunday 09- I did my stretches, jogged a mile with Cassie, and worked out with weights. I had a strange dream that I was living on a sailboat. I had left the boat and went up the ramp where I met this wise ass dark haired kid who I got in an argument with over something I thought was stupid. Then I got turned around and got lost. I ended up in a house on the waterfront that I thought was the gate to the dock. Another dark-haired guy told me to get out of his house and led me to the door. I found that I had somehow lost my shirt in the house and asked if I could go fetch it; the guy said it was my problem and slammed the door in my face. I found myself on a long narrow dock that seemed to go on forever. I started walking looking for my sailboat, but as I walked down the dock it started sinking and finally sank altogether. I found myself floating while people at a cafe above laughed as I tried to climb onto land. End of dream. First dream I’ve had in a long time.
Monday 10- Kelly and I went to Yucca Valley to pick up our meds and do some shopping at Aldi. I tried to go to Labcorp but the place was still jammed back with wheezing coughing sick people again.
Tuesday 11- We had late night and early morning rains. The temps at night got down to the 40s but rose to the 60s during the day. I did all my stretches and exercises. Cassie and I jogged up to David’s to check on his property. I worked around the house and cut up some cardboard boxes that were piling up in the yard; I’ll burn them in the wood stove for heat when it gets cold again. I’m kinda getting used to the cold now, but just wait till summer where I’ll have to get used to the high temps again.
Wednesday 12- a cold wind swept through our little area keeping us mainly inside.
Thursday 13- the weather was again, cold, wet and windy. I spent 190 minutes on the phone with my sister Audrey today... that was a long talk, a very long talk.
I feel kind of out of it today because of Cassie waking me up several times in the night...Altogether, I only got about maybe four hours of sleep.
We have a cold system going through bringing lots of wind and rain... I only took Cassie for a short walk. She was very insistent we go, but after a short while we both high-tailed it back into the house to get out of the cold and rain.
We saw the eclipse but the temps were down to 30 degrees, so we didn't spend much time outside. We went outside and then back inside a bunch of times to watch the eclipse progress during the night.
Friday 14- I did my stretches.
Saturday 15- I did my stretches and weight training.
Sunday 16- Cassie and I walked about 4-5 miles to the water tank and back. We haven’t walked that far in a long spell; we were mighty tired when we got back home.
I was talking to my brother Kevin today about something similar. I mentioned to him the time we were swimming in a pool when a heavyset woman with smelly perfume jumped in. I was doing laps when the odor hit me; I could smell it in the water! We left the pool soon after.
Monday 17- Kelly’s birthday. I took her to Applebees to celebrate her 60th.
I started doing my studies again.
Tuesday 18- I did my stretches and weight training.
Wednesday 19-
Thursday 20- I drove to Home Depot to pick up 200 feet of baling wire
Thursday 27- I worked out with weights.
That's my Columbia 26 Mark 4 sailboat, the farthest one you can see to the right in front of the Portofino Inn. It was one wild ride! Yes, my dog Porkey and I were on it that day! I had a friend who was rowing to shore and a wave caught them and they ended up in the Portofino's swimming pool... they were okay and mostly laughed it off. 14 boats were sunk that day and I saw a few of them go under.
Friday 28- Kelly and I went to Twentynine to collect our mail, went shopping, and finally ate lunch at Burger King.
Saturday 29- pretty windy. I worked out with weights.
Sunday 30- windy but nice. I did my stretches.
February 2025
Saturday 01- to Thursday 06- Feeling mighty sick.
Friday 07- 71/48F David came by and took me, my car’s rim and new tire to Walmart to get it mounted. While I was there I picked up new locks to replace the ones that no longer have keys because I lost my keys when I was trying to fix the flat on January 31.
Saturday 08- 64/45F I did my stretches. I’m not feeling all that good, so I decided to spend the day inside and in bed.
Sunday 09- 66/40F not feeling well. I am so sick I wrote my last will and testament. I’m mostly going to stay in bed until I get to feeling better. It hurts to even write in my blog posts.
Friday 21- some warm weather came our way. Feeling a bit better today but not by much. Took Kelly to go shopping at night; we were both running low on consumables. This is my first post in two weeks; I just didn’t feel up to it because of being deathly ill.
Saturday 22- 71/47F my first day of feeling much better. I did my stretches and worked out with weights, and took Cassie on two long walks. I did some work around the house and garden.

Monday 06- 61/39F I went to 29 to fetch mine and Kelly’s mail. On the way back I got a flat. I was able to inflate the tire several times and was able to limp home. I must have hit some kind of debris that bent the rim of the driver side front tire. The leak was from the tire’s side making it unrepairable. The rim was shot and probably not usable; I ordered a new one on Ebay for $90. I called Walmart about what tire I should get for my 2017 Spark. They didn’t have any on hand that would fit, and was advised to shop for the tire online. I found a tire I like, so I bought two of them, so I’ll have one in case this happens again.
Kelly is pissed at me because she wants me to drive down to pick up her meds. I told her she might ask David to take her. I cannot until possibly Tuesday when I go to Walmart to get the tire fixed. I don't trust the donut tire to get me even to there. The last time I used it it failed on these dirt roads of ours. Kelly hasn’t talked to me since. It seems this might be a good thing.
Tuesday 07- 52/34F cold and windy, with a bit of rain. I'm hunkering down for the rest of the day and putz around the inside of the house!!!! I'm sorting though old papers and bills finding ones I don't need anymore and using them to heat the house tonight.
π₯π₯π₯Yikes, more than 30,000 residents in the Los Angeles area are under a mandatory evacuation order to a fast-moving, wind-driven wildfire in Pacific Palisades.
Wednesday 08- 58/34F Windy and cold. I did my stretches, being too windy and cold to do anything else but go on long walks all bundled up with Cassie. I did the laundry and hung them out to dry. Miraculously, the clothes dried!
I did the poop patrol.
Fires are still raging in Los Angeles. Power blackout hitting our area because of the wind Edison is taking precautions in case of down power lines causing sparks and igniting more fires.
Thursday 09- 57/36F Windy and cold again. I did my stretches. Internet down, power shut down for most of Morongo Basin. It was shut down power lines due to winds it was a massive power outage for fire prevention.
Friday 10- 59/39F Another cold and windy day. I did all my exercises and stretches, and jogged a mile.
I just received the new rim from FEDEX this evening.
Saturday 11- 59/38F Cold and windy.
Sunday 12- 57/33F Still cold and windy. I did my stretches.
I putz around the house working and fixing things. I also blocked out the windows that were letting cold seep into the house with sheets of 1/4 inch styrofoam. Later in the freezing night it really helped.
It was freezing last night but I went outside to look at Mars at its closest to Earth.
Monday 13- 48/28F Cold and windy again. I did my stretches. My cement pond finally froze telling me winter is finally upon us here in the high desert.
Question; could reality and the universe as we know it just be the collapse of a wave function?
Tuesday 14- Wednesday 15- Thursday 16-
Friday 17- the two tires I bought arrived, but too late to go to WalMart auto to get it put on. Maybe I’ll wait until Monday to go.
Saturday 18- I put the spare tire (donut they called it, I call it a piece of shit) on the left-rear , exchanging it for the good tire I’ll put on the left-front.
Sunday 19- 57/30F Cold and windy! I called my brother Kevin and we had a nice chat. I called up Mike Long and had a nice long chat with him.
Monday 20- 43/27F The wind was really blowing... so hard that it bent my fence gate’s rod that connects both gates and holds them when shut. Just another problem to fix.
I mostly watched Trump's inaugural on and off all day. He sure got a heck of a lot done on his first day! Even before it was his first in office Trump was getting stuff done, sometimes without him doing anything but talk.
I did my stretches and hung for 1/2 minute to the chin up bar.
Tuesday 21- Wednesday 22- Thursday 23- Friday 24- Saturday 25- Sunday 26- Cold, wet, and windy these last few days, but no rain. I did my stretches everyday, also took Cassie on long walks when the wind died down, which wind hasn’t that much.
Monday 27- 44/28F Finally, our parched desert had a nice little rain. I was starting to worry we wouldn't see a drop of rain this winter or spring. Lake Lucille had materialized overnight creating an obstacle course for any car or truck attempting to pass through this watery mud slush carnage that awaited them.
David texted me that he saw a house fire. He said the fire was over by Linda’s but to the west; said it was Peggy’s. Well, I got right on the phone to Peggy to see if I could help. She answered telling me she was in LA and the house fire was on the property next to hers that belongs to a recluse who doesn’t want to be around people. I sure hope he is okay.
Tuesday 28- 50/34F
Wednesday 29-
Thursday 30- I saw a white raven flying with other black ravens this afternoon around Winters Rd and Bourland Pass!
Pretty cool π€
Friday 31- I went to my doctor appointment in Yucca Valley. I told him about the orthopedist telling me I didn’t need surgery on my thumb for 5 years! Then I asked him why he didn’t call me back when I was having a heart attack back in August... I waited 3 hours for them to call me back.
On the way home I got another flat and limped four miles home. I lost my keys somewhere on that dang road.
