*********** stuff I wrote ************
The sea beckons with its endless flow of blue gowned goddesses dancing on shores of silver and gold.
Out we sail into its midst, on wind blown canvas played out by our fists.
Wrap another turn around the starboard capstan, casting our fortunes our fate to the ship’s hardy Captain.
The seas rise heavy, the ship heaves and toss, echos of sailors who had paid the cost, for a life worth living is a life worth dying, leaving widows at home and children ah crying.
Dread black fear now races the foredeck as sailors prepare to abandon the ship, but in seas such as these, if you’re not quick nor wise, find a selfish sea awaiting your demise.
With soft whispers coming from cold quiet lips, it’s the sea that now beckons from her dark silent depths.
So sad some folks live for ownership of the past when we should be building a better future for all our children and move on, hand in hand with one another together, to form a greater society of goodness for all of humankind.
Everybody adds something of value to our life path. Being vigilant to observe it in others and act upon it is an important virtue to cultivate in ourselves.
Saturday 09- windy and cold but not as bad as yesterday.
I did my stretches.
I called family and friends and mostly just chilled out.
I did a fresh reinstall of Windows 8 on my HP laptop to see if any programs left over from Win 7 from the first install was causing my laptop to run at high CPU percentages (Laptops are not supposed to run at 50% or more all the time). The fresh install was easy to do on Windows 8; there’s a little place you click from the menu to reset it to factory specs with the option of keeping your stuff and programs. I had already backed up my data with the first install so I went the other option of wiping everything off and starting anew, which is what I wanted. After the install and hours of updates from Microsoft my system runs just fine now. So my suggestion to any who are updating is to backup your data and do a fresh install.
I watched episode 8 of “Numb3rs”: thinks he might have put the wrong man in prison.
Sunday 10- still windy and cold!
I did my stretches.
I did a whole lot of work in the yard. There was a young couple that had bought property over 7 years ago and asked me back then to store some plywood and other building material temporally for them. I haven’t touched it for those 7 years waiting for them to get them. The tarp was rotted out that was covering it all protecting it from the elements... today I decided that 7 years was long enough and moved it all inside my shop where I’ll use it for my own purposes.
I worked on the my book and spent the whole evening getting it loaded up into the Kindle Ebook format. I finished it and will have to wait for up to 12 hours for it to publish so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow.
Monday 11- very windy and really cold!
I did my stretches, yoga, core trainer, and punched the heavybag for five minutes. Too dang cold run, and besides the wind was howling with dust and other little things that get stuck in your eyes.
Chris dropped me off a bag of groceries from the USDA food distribution. There was even a frozen chicken in the bag that I don’t know how to cook; I tried cooking it before and it tasted terrible.
I worked around inside the house where it was safe and warm.
At five-thirty I drove the little scooter to our community center for the Neighborhood Watch meeting and also stayed for the community board meeting. We discussed the diaper dumper who's been throwing adult diapers on Winters road for the past year and is dumping more of them now. We may start some kinda surveillance to nab the diaper dumper. I volunteered to write up a draft to solicit needed funds from one of the county supervisors. I didn’t get home till a little before 9pm; it was a cold and windy ride both ways.
Tuesday 12- a bit windy but a little warmer.
I did my stretches, yoga, lifted weights, ran a mile and a half with 1.5lbs around each wrists, core trainer, and punched the heavybag for 5 minutes.
I worked around the yard.
I made a big mess cooking the chicken that Chris brought over yesterday. It was still frozen and I thought I’d just take it over to Stoney’s and put it in the freezer there, but I thought to myself, “be a man and cook the darn thing up yourself”. I put it on the stove at low heat in a big pot and filled it part way with water. I got busy doing whatever outside and on the computer and forgotten about it until the smell of grease burning hit my nostrils. The pot had boiled over and most of the grease was on the stovetop. I burned my fingers twice trying to everything squared away. I then decided it was cooked enough to fry in the big skillet. I poured a bunch of vegetable oil, got it really hot, and toss a bunch of chicken parts in; I got burned again when the oil and water came popping and splattering out of the skillet. About that time Linda calls wanting to know if I wanted to go for an evening walk and asked me what all that noise in the background was. I got it all fried up before Linda arrived, but it was all oily from too much vegetable oil and some of the chicken broke apart in the skillet.
We had a nice walk of over two miles yakking all the way. Linda brought over more agave and cactus for me to plant.
After she left, I went back into my kitchen to see the mess I made; grease on the floor, on the stove, all over. I cleaned up a bit and sat down to eat my chicken that I spent so much energy to prepare; it tasted horrible with way too much oil dripping off of it. I will never attempt to cook a chicken again; I’d rather marry a woman and have her cook it up than go through this mess again... the poor chicken.
I watched season 5 episode 14 of “Castle: Really Star Struck”; a young woman from a reality show is found on a bus bench with a knife sticking in her.
Wednesday 13- alot nicer outside today.
I did my stretches.
I began cleaning the chicken mess I made yesterday. When I removed the top to the stove where all the tubes and stuff run, I found a half inch of chicken grease lying on the bottom that had boiled off the pot and flowed over inside the stove. More mess than I thought and I couldn’t believe all that came from one chicken. It took me a long time to get everything degreased and chicken free...
Thursday 14- very nice outside.
I did my stretches, yoga, lifted weights, ran the hill carrying 5 lbs in each hand, core trainer, and punched the heavybag for 5 minutes.
I rode the scooter to my mailbox on Border Ave.

Saturday 16- a bit cloudy today but the Sun made an appearance later in the afternoon.
I did my stretches.
Sherry dropped by to jaw for a spell getting up to date on our friends doings.
I called Family and Friends here and there throughout the day.
I worked the yard planting more agave and cactus that Linda H. brought over last Tuesday.
Linda H. called asking if I wanted to go to the store with her and I said YES! I picked up the stuff I need that would have been awkward to carry on the motorbikes. I bought some lemon cookies from the Girl Scouts outside the supermarket; they were setup to take credit cards from a card scanner hooked up to an iPhone which I thought was very clever. After I ran around the store grabbing what I needed, I was standing in line to checkout when the cashier asked if I wanted to donate to the Heart Fund. I said yeah I’ll donate a dollar. Now I get preoccupied when I shop and hadn’t noticed earlier but when customers donate all the cashiers and box-people have these rattles and every time someone donates they all rattle them very loud. To say the least I was mortified by being the center of attention.
Linda dropped me safely back home and I put all my groceries away. I then decided to do a fresh install Win7 on my Dell Mini 9 that is running Win XP. I spent the rest of the night messing installing that and MS Office 7 (mostly waiting for stuff to load or update)... it took my mind off them rattlers :)
***** Stuff I Wrote *****
I have been in love. I have been hurt by love. I've shied away for many years.
I wear the scars upon my somnolent brow for all of you to see.
I have been abandoned, I've been wronged, and I've also abandoned and wronged those who loved me. But I am wiser now and pray my fate to fall in love again.
I don't know about running my life like Bank of America...but Love is unbounded and infinite. You are welcome to withdraw all you can take. Those who take advantage of that love in ways that are deceitful and deceptive can go take a hike and need not visit upon my bank again :)

Saturday 23- the day started out really cold and windy so I figured that it would be that way all day and decided to stay inside. Little did I know that it warmed up to 72 degrees... the winds were still high. I only found this out at 3pm when I went to water my friend’s plants while they are away on vacation.
I did my stretches and felt better today.
I cooked up some rice with chili beans for potluck.
I downloaded and installed Lubuntu Linux 12.10 (a lighter version of Ubuntu) on the Dell Mini 9 and wrote over the Chrome OS that was quirky. I still don’t have WIFI though and will have to look into that.
Before I went to Potluck, I went and watered my friend’s plants. One of her trees looked like it was on its last leg and I gave it extra water.
I arrived at the community center early but there were already a few cars there; always a good sign. It was Chris Jonas and his granddaughter Anna’s birthday; Karry Kearns brought a big birthday cake from Stater Brothers for the both of them. Before we all got in line for the food we all sang Happy Birthday. There was whole bunches of cakes, cookies and sweets things for us to eat this time. Desserts come in waves; sometimes there isn’t any desserts because at the last potluck folks brought too much, so I’m figuring that next potluck there’ll not be any or very little.
Ruth Malton brought cookies. Dorothy Jacobsen used her magic touch to create a wonderful chicken broccoli divan casserole and brownies. Dyan Carroll outdone herself bringing roasted potatoes, BBQ meatballs, and lemon bars that melted right in yer mouth and brought a smile to your face. Marie Morrison made a delicious red velvet cake. Weekenders Jenny and David Mason who’ve a cabin here for over fifteen years, came bearing BBQ Sliders that did exactly that; slid right on down to yer belly! Not to be outdone by Dyan, Mary and Chris Koval cooked up a feast of chicken green bean casserole, a Santa Fe turkey pasta casserole, and banana fig muffins. Rose Matich had some cranberry sauce to share with the desert folks. And birthday boy Chris Jonas made his world famous award winning macaroni salad. Well we all were mighty stuffed afterwards and lingered around for a spell swapping tales of this and that while dodging the kids playing on the floor with toy cars scooting around.
I got back home around 7pm and called my Brother Kevin like I do almost everyday to touch base. I spent the rest of the night working on my journal, getting it ready to post.
***** Stuff I Wrote *****
A thought; a memory from beyond forever which brings us to dance upon our fears and shout out at our demons to begone! Only then may we rise above the ordinary and drift among the stars.
I hear those songs and can also play them in my head like you. I also make up my own songs and play them on my guitar. I really don't listen to anything else; I think it takes away from our creativity... I made up a sign and put it up on my wall that says "CREATE"....
Microsoft is changing the way they sell Office. One is where you purchase Office 2013 for $140 and use it on a single PC; where on earlier versions you could put it on 3 computers. The other is called Office 365 which is cloud based and costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year.
I do a lot of writing and I use different computers to do so. I don't use a spreadsheet or any other programs included with MS Office 2007. I like MS Office but I feel that Microsoft has gotten (or have been for a long time) full of themselves. I also use Google Docs, but I prefer MS Office. I am not joined at the hip with Microsoft and will look for open source or comparable low cost alternatives (Not Mac, they're full of themselves too)... It is not worth it to me to have a word processor that costs me $10 a month (I wish I could earn that off of the stuff I write) when there are alternatives out there... the answer is a resounding no! I will not be upgrading to any new version of Microsoft Office.
Sunday 24- another cold and windy day.
I did my stretches.
I called family and friends and messed with computers throughout the day.
Monday 25- hey a really nice day at last!
I did my stretches, lifted weights, yoga, ran up the hill and back carrying 5lbs in each hand, core trainer, and punched the heavybag for two minutes.
I worked out in the yard watering and planting more cactus.
My good friend Andrew called and we chatted for over an hour; we always do a lot of philosophizing about everything when we chat.
UPS delivered the new tubeless tire and rim for the Harley! I measured and compared it to the one that is on the bike and it looks to be a fit.
I went for my evening walk with my backpack listening to an astronomy lecture on the cosmological constant; the universe is both homogeneous and isotropic at great distances (Like 3 to 5 million parsecs in volume).
I did my studies; a lesson in Beginning Latin book, and another in “1100 words you need to know workbook”, and I drew something: a clown with a whip trying to get a cat to jump through a hoop.
I did my stretches, lifted 20lb dumbbells, and went for a night run.
I continued studying chapter 11 of “Molecular and Cell Biology for Dummies”: Chemiosmosis and Oxidative Phosphorylation...whew!
I practiced my guitar.
Tuesday 26- a cold and windy day.

I did go for my evening walk with my backpack listening to an astronomy lecture on Dark Matter and Dark Energy.

Thursday 28- a perfect day!
I did my stretches, lifted weights, yoga, ran a mile and a half with 1.5lbs around each wrists, core trainer, and punched the heavybag for five minutes.
I worked in the yard planting more cactus and watering.
I would have continued my day as usual, but I got a call from Iron Eyes Cody’s son Robert Tree Cody who was having problems with his computer. My friend Joel Levy was good friends with Iron Eyes, and when Robert mentioned he was having problems with his computer Joel had him call to me. So the rest of the day and into the night I was on and off the phone with Robert as I walked step by step through the process of recovering his system.
I watched episode 11 of “Numb3rs”: about a computer scientist who was stabbed repeatedly and his programs erased.

Like a sparrow's breath bursts forth upon a sea of flowers still, they are many but I am one, Living Wanting Waiting under the crescent Moons of Mars.
Beautiful and multifaceted in its complexity, the ephemeral snowflake is now but a dewdrop on my palm.
Life is so wonderful and yet mysterious that I love trying to express it with words
To walk with you in the twilight hours and hold you close with all my power. To speak your name and you answer back, I long for you my heart's desire.
We bind ourselves to those unending strikes against our inner soul, withheld we are from our true foundation by those enforcers of bitter wows. Cast off we must these false allegations, whose sanctions bring burden to our quest. Set free upon the world unbounded we fly we stumble from the nest.
